Regulatory monitoring

What changed today in the rules that apply to you?

What the Diario Oficial, the Superfinanciera, the DIAN or the high courts published in Colombia; the DOF, the Cámara de Diputados, Banxico, the CNBV and the CNSF in Mexico; the Planalto in Brazil. Date, number and text, ready to detect the change every day.

Format yyyy-mm-dd, for example 2026-07-16. Must be a real calendar date; the index reaches back to 1917.

Every regulator publishes on its own and none of them tells you

A compliance team in Colombia follows the Superintendencia Financiera, whose Circular Básica Jurídica and Circular Básica Contable y Financiera change through external circulars; the DIAN with its conceptos and oficios; the Diario Oficial and the Gaceta del Congreso printed by the Imprenta Nacional; Función Pública's Gestor Normativo; and the rulings of the Corte Constitucional and the Corte Suprema. In Mexico, the Diario Oficial de la Federación publishes dozens of notices on a typical business day, the Cámara de Diputados compiles more than 315 federal laws and more than 135 regulations, Banxico has regulated through circulars since 1969 and the CNBV's Circular Única de Bancos has accumulated more than 180 amendments. In Brazil, federal legislation comes out through the Planalto.

Croma turns each of those sources into an endpoint with date, number, type and text. The daily indexes (the DOF by date, amendments to federal laws by decree, Banxico circulars) query the official source at the moment of the request; searches over regulation and case law answer from the dataset Croma keeps current with the whole source. With that, detecting the change is comparing today's answer with yesterday's, and citing the rule is opening its record by identifier.

How it works

From the question to the JSON in three steps

  1. 01

Ask by date or by topic

A date for the full index of the DOF or of the amendments published that day; a text, a year, a type or a status to search laws, circulars, provisions, conceptos or rulings; a circular number or an identifier to open a specific rule.

  2. 02

Receive the rule with its trail

Title, type, publication date, validity status, issuer, full text when the source publishes it and the amendment history: every amending decree with its DOF date, every CNBV amending resolution, every Banxico circular that amends another.

  3. 03

    Detect the change every day

Run today's query, compare it with yesterday's and notify the person responsible for that rule. Since the answer is JSON with documented fields, the difference is computed in your code, without reading the whole gazette every morning.

Everything about Colombia

Sixteen endpoints: the Superintendencia Financiera's regulation and doctrine, the DIAN's conceptos, the Imprenta Nacional's Diario Oficial and Gaceta del Congreso, the laws and decrees of Función Pública's Gestor Normativo with their text, and the rulings of the Corte Constitucional and the Corte Suprema de Justicia. They are queried by API, with a guide per source in the docs.

Brazil: Planalto

Everything about Brazil

The Presidência da República publishes Brazilian federal legislation on the Planalto. Croma answers from the dataset it keeps current with the whole source: federal law search and the record of each one by its identifier, with its number and publication date. Search and record both have a free tool, and the answers keep the names of the statutes in Portuguese.

Three possible answers

  • 01

    Found

The record exists and arrives structured, with the fields in the table and the source that produced it.

  • 02

    No record

The source has nothing for that identifier. It is a definitive answer (found: false), not an error.

  • 03

    Pending

Slow sources return a job with a status_url to poll for the result, or deliver it to your webhook.

Where it runs

Where teams use it

  • Compliance at financial institutions

What the Superfinanciera, Banxico, the CNBV and the CNSF published, with the compiled text and the original to know what the rule said on a given date. DOF date and official PDF on every amendment.

  • Legal and tax teams

The DIAN's conceptos and oficios by topic and by document, Colombia's laws and decrees with their validity status, and the C, T and SU rulings of the Corte Constitucional alongside those of the Corte Suprema's chambers.

  • Gazette watch

The day's DOF index, with morning or evening edition, section and agency; Colombia's Diario Oficial and Gaceta del Congreso, with the documents of each gazette. Useful to know whether a decree, a NOM or a bill came out.

  • AI agents for legal teams

An agent connected over MCP asks what the DOF published on a date or what the latest CNBV resolution amended, and receives the official record with date and link to the PDF instead of a web summary.

Trust

Official records, with provenance

  • Official sources only

Every answer names the official registry that produced it. Nothing comes from purchased databases or third-party summaries.

  • Results that are never indexed

In the free tools the query and the result live in your browser, never in a URL. In the API: encryption in transit, access control and audit logging.

  • Personal data, with rules

Lookups on individuals require a legitimate purpose under each country's law: Ley 1581 in Colombia, LFPDPPP in Mexico, Ley 29733 in Peru, LGPD in Brazil. Croma delivers the record; the purpose and the legal basis are yours.

  • A stable contract

Every field is documented in the OpenAPI, with a 90-day deprecation policy and Deprecation and Sunset headers before anything is retired.

Frequently asked questions

You query the day's index (the DOF by date, or the amendments to federal laws, which group every decree with the laws it touched and the action: reforma, adiciona, deroga, abroga, expide) and compare it with the previous day in your code. In Colombia, the law search by year, type and status plays the same role. The answer is JSON with documented fields, so the change is computed, not read.

It depends on the source. Colombia's laws arrive from the Gestor Normativo with their text, and a DOF publication with its full text, delivered in character ranges. Banxico circulars, CNBV regulations and the Cámara de Diputados federal laws deliver the record with the DOF date and the link to the official PDF. The Superfinanciera's regulation arrives as the record of the act with its link.

Banxico since 1969, with more than twelve hundred entries in its index. The DOF delivers text from 1973; anything earlier exists only as a scan and the answer gives you the link to the official page. Amendments to federal laws are verified from 2022. In Colombia, the Gestor Normativo returns each rule with its publication date and validity status.

With the history. The record of a Mexican federal law lists every amending decree with its DOF date; that of a Banxico circular carries the original text, the compiled text and the list of amendments; that of a CNBV ordinance, every amending resolution with its date and PDF. The Circular Única de Bancos has accumulated more than 180. In Colombia, a law's record shows its validity status and its update date.

In this solution, the rulings of Colombia's Corte Constitucional and Corte Suprema de Justicia, by search and by identifier, from the dataset Croma keeps current with the whole source. The SCJN tesis in Mexico, the Consejo de Estado in Colombia and Peru's Tribunal Constitucional live in the court monitoring solution, with the same key.

Every field is documented in the OpenAPI. If a field is retired or changes, the API announces it with the Deprecation and Sunset headers and keeps the previous version for 90 days. For a daily detection flow that means the comparison of today with yesterday does not break without notice. Incidents with a source are published on the status page.
