A Brazilian company's good standing is spread across eight federal registries

To know whether a Brazilian company is in good standing you have to gather what eight federal sources publish. PGFN enrolls debt in the Dívida Ativa da União; the TST issues the Certidão Negativa de Débitos Trabalhistas; Caixa certifies FGTS regularity; the CGU consolidates administrative sanctions; the MTE keeps the lista suja do trabalho escravo; IBAMA records environmental embargoes; the CNJ gathers the courts' procedural notices in the DJEN, and the Planalto publishes federal legislation. Croma queries the Dívida Ativa, the CNDT and the CRF by CNPJ, searches the sanction lists by name and returns every record with the same shape and the source that produced it.

    The 14 digits that identify a legal entity in Brazil. Opens the debt enrolled in the Dívida Ativa (PGFN), the TST's CNDT and the FGTS CRF at Caixa.

  • Número do processo

    The 20 digits of the CNJ's unified numbering. Locates the notices the courts publish about that case in the DJEN.

  • Número da lei

    The number and year of a federal statute, such as Lei 13.709 de 2018. Returns the law as the Planalto publishes it.

  • Razão social

    The company's or employer's name. Searches the CGU sanctions, the MTE's lista suja and the IBAMA embargoes, and returns every record as the source publishes it.

Lei 13.709 de 2018 (LGPD) and public records

The registries Croma queries are public by law: the Dívida Ativa da União, the CGU sanctions, the MTE's lista suja, the IBAMA embargoes, the DJEN and federal legislation. Lookups by CNPJ concern legal entities; when a record names an individual (a sole employer, a party to a case), Lei 13.709 de 2018 requires a legal basis and a purpose. Croma returns the record with its source and logs every request for audit; the legal basis is yours.

By CNPJ for the Dívida Ativa, the CNDT and the FGTS CRF: the company's 14 digits. The CGU, MTE and IBAMA lists are searched by name, CNPJ or CPF, because those sources also publish individuals, and return every record as the source publishes it. When a record identifies a person, the LGPD applies and the purpose of the lookup is yours.

It depends on the source. The TST's CNDT, Caixa's CRF and the DJEN are queried at the official source at the moment of the request. The Dívida Ativa, the CGU sanctions, the MTE list, the IBAMA embargoes and the Planalto's legislation answer from the dataset Croma keeps current with the whole source. If the CNPJ has no record, the answer is found: false, definitive and not an error.

No. It is the informational lookup of the same registry, to decide quickly whether a counterparty is in good standing: whether the CNDT comes back negative or positive, whether the FGTS CRF is valid, whether there is debt enrolled in the Dívida Ativa. The legally valid document is issued by each agency; Croma tells you whether it is worth requesting.
