All federal legislation searchable by number, date or text
Brazil's Presidência da República publishes federal legislation through the Planalto: the Constituição de 1988 with its emendas, and every lei complementar, lei ordinária, lei delegada, decreto-lei, decreto and medida provisória. This search covers that whole body of law: filter by type of instrument, status of a medida provisória, exact number, year or signing date range, and search for words in the name, the ementa and the full text. Each result carries type, number and year, name, ementa, signing and publication dates, whether it was revoked, the links to the official and consolidated texts, the veto message where one exists and, for a medida provisória, its status with a note explaining it. Results come from newest to oldest, without the text: to read one, use the federal law lookup.

Whether it is in force
