Croma for Government

For those who serve,Croma is free

If you work at a public agency, in any country, the Croma API and connector cost you nothing: 100,000 credits a month, no card. Just sign up with your government email.

The data is public. The tools to use it should be too.

People in the public sector do work that matters. They contract, investigate, regulate, oversee and answer to citizens, often with fewer tools than that work deserves.

The records Croma organizes are created by public institutions and belong to the public. We think it is only fair that the people who keep them, and the people who use them to serve, can query them without paying for it.

That is why Croma for Government is not a trial or a discount. It is free for as long as you work in the public sector.

What your agency gets

The same product the paid plans use, with no fine print.

  • 100,000 credits a month

Up to 10,000 live lookups or 100,000 dataset requests every month, or any mix of the two. The balance resets every month.

  • The full catalog

All 116 official sources and 330 endpoints across 8 countries: court cases, company registries, public procurement, regulations and more.

  • Claude and ChatGPT

The MCP connector brings every source into the chat. You ask the AI in your own language and it queries the official source, no code required.

  • No card, no cost

We ask for no payment method and no contract. The organization moves to the Government plan on its own and nothing is charged later.

How to get it

  1. 01

Sign up with your government email

Create your account in the console with the address your agency gave you, for example name@agency.gov.

  2. 02

    Verify your email

You confirm your email as with any sign-up. That is how we know the address is yours.

  3. 03

Your organization moves to the Government plan

If the domain belongs to a government, the organization gets its 100,000 credits a month without you doing anything else.

It is automatic. No forms and no approvals in between.

Common questions

Yes. We ask for no card, it is not a trial and nothing is charged later. As long as the account uses a government email, the Government plan costs nothing.

Yes, 100,000 credits a month, which is 10,000 live lookups or 100,000 dataset requests. When they run out, the API answers 402 until the balance resets. If your agency needs more, write to hi@usecroma.com and we will talk it through.

Some public agencies use a different domain. Write to hi@usecroma.com from your work email with the name of your agency and we will turn the plan on by hand.

The Government plan belongs to your agency's organization, not to one person, so your colleagues keep using it. If you move to another public agency, create a new organization with your new official email and it gets the Government plan too.

Not yet. University emails (.edu) do not turn on the Government plan for now. In the meantime, the Free plan is still available with no card.

Yes. The Government plan applies to public agencies in every country, even where Croma does not cover local sources yet. You always get the full catalog.

Start with your government email

Creating the account takes a couple of minutes. If your email ends in a government domain, the Government plan turns on by itself.
