PGFN debtor

How much does this company owe the Union?

Enter a CNPJ or its 8-character root and get the total registered in the Dívida Ativa da União: number of debts, amount as principal debtor, share in court, breakdown by regime and the 50 largest debts. Free, no login.

A 14-digit CNPJ, e.g. 12345678000190, or its first 8 characters to add up every establishment, with no dots or slashes.

The liabilities owed to the Union by one company

The Dívida Ativa da União gathers what companies owe Brazil's federal government and the Procuradoria-Geral da Fazenda Nacional (PGFN) has registered for collection: federal taxes, social security (previdência) contributions and FGTS. This lookup takes a CNPJ, or its 8-character root to add up every establishment, and returns the debtor name, the number of debts, how many and how much it answers for as principal debtor, the share under judicial enforcement, a breakdown by regime with the count and amount of each, and the 50 largest debts with their registration number, status, revenue type, registration date and amount. If the PGFN has nothing registered, the response is found: false. It is the figure a bank or a buyer wants before disbursing or closing a deal with a Brazilian company. Croma answers from the dataset it keeps up to date with the full source, refreshed with each quarterly publication.

Common questions

From the Procuradoria-Geral da Fazenda Nacional (PGFN), which registers and collects the Dívida Ativa da União. Croma answers from the dataset it keeps up to date with the full source, refreshed with each quarterly publication, and the as_of and reference_month fields say which date and month the data corresponds to.

Yes, it is free and needs no account. There is only a cap on lookups per hour from the same connection to prevent abuse, and one CNPJ per lookup. For volume, use the Croma API.

That the PGFN has no debt registered for that CNPJ in the publication indicated in as_of. It is a definitive answer, not an error. Enter the CNPJ as 14 digits with no dots or slashes; with the 8-character root you add up every establishment of the company. The lookup covers companies only.

No. It is an informational lookup of the debts registered in the most recent publication; to prove tax compliance the official certidão issued by the PGFN is still the document you need. The totals.complete field says whether the debts listed are all those registered or only the 50 largest.
