What it shows

Every federal law in a single list

The catalog holds the 315+ federal instruments compiled by the Cámara de Diputados: the Constitution, the federal codes, the reglamentarias and orgánicas laws, and recently abrogated laws, which are flagged so you do not mistake them for laws in force. For each one you get the full name, the abbreviation it is cited by, its original publication date in the Diario Oficial de la Federación, its latest reform date, status notes (invalidity rulings, recovered validity, pending entry into force) and links to the consolidated text in PDF and Word. The name filter is optional: leave it blank and you page through the whole catalog, 100 laws at a time.

01Where do these laws come from?
From the official compilation of federal laws kept by the Cámara de Diputados, the same one that publishes the consolidated text of each instrument. Croma queries it on request and returns it as structured fields.
02What does the catalog include?
315+ instruments: the Constitution, the federal codes, the reglamentarias and orgánicas laws, and recently abrogated laws, which are flagged so you do not count them as being in force.
03Is it free? Are there any limits?
Yes, it is free and needs no account. There is only a cap on lookups per hour from the same connection to prevent abuse, and each page returns up to 100 laws. For volume, use the Croma API.
04How do I see every reform of a law?
Here you see the latest reform date. For the full history, decree by decree, copy the law's identifier and open it in the Mexican federal law record tool.
