The record pulls together in one response what is normally scattered: the instrument's details (name, abbreviation, original publication date, latest reform, status notes and whether it has been abrogated), the original publication with its DOF date and the scan of the issue it appeared in, and the complete reform history. Every reform decree carries its sequential number, the date it was published in the DOF, a description of what it changed and links to the official document in PDF and Word, with any fe de erratas attached, ordered newest first. That lets you date a change, cite the exact decree, or reconstruct which version of the law applied on a given date.

01What is the law identifier?
It is the short key the Cámara de Diputados uses to name each instrument: cpeum for the Constitution, lic for the banking law. You take it from the federal laws catalog.
02Why does the law I entered not show up?
Because the identifier matches no instrument in the compilation. Search it by name in the federal laws catalog first and copy the exact identifier from there, with no spaces or accents.
03Can I read the text of the law?
The record carries the official links to the consolidated text in PDF and Word, plus the PDF of every reform decree. Croma does not rewrite the articles: it points you at the official document.
04Is it free? Are there any limits?
Yes, it is free and needs no account. There is only a cap on lookups per hour from the same connection to prevent abuse, and one law per lookup. For volume, use the Croma API.
