A full day's index of the official gazette

This tool assembles a complete day of Mexico's Diario Oficial de la Federación. Each publication comes back with its id, the heading exactly as printed, the edition (morning, evening or extraordinary), the section, the first and last page, the issuing branch (executive, legislative, judiciary, autonomous bodies, judicial and general notices, public tenders) and the responsible agency, plus two flags telling you whether that entry has retrievable text and whether it has a PDF. A normal business day carries over a hundred entries, so this is how you check in one pass whether a reform, an official standard (NOM), a Supreme Court agreement or a supplier debarment was published. If the date fell on a weekend or a statutory holiday, the result says so explicitly instead of returning an unexplained empty list.

Common questions

01Where do these publications come from?
From the Diario Oficial de la Federación, the Mexican state's official gazette. Croma queries the DOF and returns the day's index as separate fields, ready to review or export.
02Is it free? Are there any limits?
Yes, it is free and needs no account. There is only a cap on lookups per hour from the same connection to prevent abuse, and one date per lookup. For daily monitoring, use the Croma API.
03Why does my date return no publications?
Because the gazette did not run that day: the DOF is not published on Saturdays, Sundays or statutory holidays, and the result says so explicitly. Enter the date as yyyy-mm-dd; history reaches back to 1995.
04Can I read a publication's full text?
Here you get the index with each entry's id. With that id you open the full text in the DOF publication tool. Entries flagged as having no text were published as an image only and carry just their record and the official link.
