The Florida registry searchable by the people in it

The search covers every business entity the Florida Division of Corporations (Sunbiz) registers: corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and trusts, domestic and foreign, active and inactive. Each result carries the document number, the status, the kind of entity, the principal and mailing addresses, the formation date, the FEI number when reported, the registered agent and up to six officers, directors or managers. The registry's own site searches names one prefix at a time; here a search reaches every officer and registered agent too, so you can find every company a person manages or every entity an agent represents. Data is brought up to date every day from the Division's own publications.

Florida lets a filing carry a delayed effective date, up to ninety days ahead. An entity filed with one shows that later date as its formation date until it takes effect.
