Source: Rama JudicialThe case history behind the radicado
A judicial case lookup by radicado returns the record Rama Judicial keeps on the file: the court hearing it, the department, the parties as they were registered, the filing date and the date of the last action. Below that comes the list of case actions in order, each with its sequence number, date, action type, the court's note, the term start and end dates when the action records them, and whether it has documents attached. For a credit, collections or legal team that answers what matters: where the case stands and what moved last.

Common questions
- Where does this information come from?
- From Colombia's Rama Judicial, where each court registers the case and its actions. Croma queries that source at the moment you search and returns the case structured.
- Is it free? Are there any limits?
- Yes, it is free and needs no account. There is only a cap on lookups per hour from the same connection to prevent abuse, and one radicado per lookup. It shows the first page of actions (up to 40); for tracking many cases, use the Croma API.
- Why does the case I entered not show up?
- Because no public case matches that radicado. Check that you entered all 23 digits, with no spaces or dashes, and keep in mind that a freshly assigned radicado can take a while to appear. If you do not have the number, you can also search the case by party name.
- What about cases under seal?
- Some cases are flagged as private in Rama Judicial. When the radicado only matches a restricted case, the lookup tells you so and shows neither the case record nor its actions, because that information is not public.
