An institutional bulletin not a police blotter

Worth knowing before you run it: the Nuevo Leon prosecutor uses its bulletins mainly to talk about itself, not to report arrest by arrest. What you find is a few hundred releases, published days or weeks apart, about equipment for the forensic medical service and the criminalistics institute, training on torture and the Istanbul Protocol, joint access-to-justice days with the judiciary, prevention campaigns, and events featuring its specialised units, among them the anti-corruption and electoral crime offices and the state investigation agency. It is a source on institutional policy, useful for knowing which unit handles what and how prosecution is being reorganised in the state.

Unlike Jalisco, Chihuahua or the State of Mexico, the Nuevo Leon prosecutor does not publish a bulletin per case: its feed is institutional and covers equipment, training, agreements and campaigns. For specific events, local press or the prosecutors that do publish case by case are the better source.
