What the complaints and claims lookup is
The Superintendencia Financiera supervises Colombia's financial, insurance and securities markets. Beyond supervision, it exercises jurisdictional functions: financial consumers can file complaints and protection claims against supervised entities, and the status of those proceedings can be checked with their filing number.
Croma queries the history of proceedings of a complaint or jurisdictional claim with the document number and the filing number, and returns it structured: useful for following a proceeding and monitoring the claims tied to a client or counterparty.
How fresh the data is
Croma queries the Superfinanciera live at the moment of your search. Entries appear as the entity records them in the corresponding proceeding.
Coverage and limits
- It requires the filing number in addition to the document: it is not a general search of all of a person's claims.
- It covers the complaints and claims filed with the Superfinanciera; grievances handled only with the financial entity or its consumer ombudsman do not appear.
- It publishes the proceeding's history of entries, not the full file or the documents submitted.
