What the SIMIT is

The SIMIT consolidates in a single system the fines and sanctions for traffic violations imposed across the country. The Federación Colombiana de Municipios administers it by legal mandate, with the information reported by transit authorities: comparendos (traffic citations), rulings, payment agreements and each person's account status.

Croma queries the SIMIT by document number and returns the account status: pending citations and fines, payment agreements and amounts, useful for assessing debtors, drivers and fleets before an onboarding or a disbursement.

How fresh the data is

Croma queries the SIMIT live at the moment of your search. Citations, rulings and payments appear as transit authorities report them to the system.

Coverage and limits

It consolidates the information reported by transit authorities across the country; the record depends on that reporting.
A recent payment or filing can take time to show while the transit authority reports it to the system.
It publishes traffic fines and citations; the vehicle's record and its liens live in the RUNT.
