Florida's register of marks searchable by name and owner

The search covers the trademarks and service marks registered with the Florida Division of Corporations (Sunbiz), in force or not. Each result carries the registration number, the mark as the register names it, the status, the classes of goods or services, what the registrant says it is used for, any disclaimers, the filing and expiration dates, the dates of first use anywhere and in Florida, the last event filed, and up to six owners with their addresses. When an owner is itself a Florida entity, its Sunbiz document number comes with it, so you can list every mark one company owns. These are state registrations, separate from federal trademarks at the USPTO. Data is brought up to date every day from the Division's own publications.

From the Florida Division of Corporations, the state registry known as Sunbiz, which publishes its records for anyone to use. No. This is Florida's own register, kept by the Division of Corporations. A federal trademark is registered with the USPTO, and a name can be on one register and not the other, so a clean search here does not rule out a federal mark.

Yes, when the owner is a Florida entity. Type its Sunbiz document number in the owner field to see only the marks it owns, or type the owner's name in the search box to find owners the registry lists by name only.

The register no longer lists the mark as in force, usually because it expired without renewal or was cancelled. A Florida registration lasts five years and can be renewed; the expiration date shows when the current term ends.
