What the RUNT is
The RUNT is the registry that centralizes Colombia's transit information: vehicles, drivers, licenses and filings. The Ministerio de Transporte administers it through a concession. For each vehicle it records, by plate, its characteristics, the registered owners, the SOAT (mandatory traffic insurance), the roadworthiness inspection and the liens and limitations on ownership.
Croma queries the RUNT by plate and returns the vehicle's record and history: owners, policies and inspections with their validity, liens and limitations, essential for reviewing vehicle collateral, buying used cars and running due diligence on assets.

Croma queries the RUNT live at the moment of your search. The information is updated as transit authorities, insurers and the registry's other participants report filings and updates.
Coverage and limits
- Covers the vehicles enrolled in the national registry by the country's transit authorities.
- Liens and limitations appear as reported to the registry; the detail of a lien may require verification with the transit authority.
- The RUNT does not publish traffic fines or citations: that information is consolidated by the SIMIT.

- An encumbrance on the vehicle, such as the pledge securing a loan or a seizure order, that restricts its sale or transfer while it stands.
- 02Why can the SOAT or the inspection appear expired after being renewed?
- Because the insurer or the inspection center reports the issuance to the registry, and there can be a lag between the filing and its publication.
- 03Does the lookup replace the vehicle's title history certificate?
- No. For formal filings you need the registry's official certificates; Croma's lookup is informational.
