What changes#
Until today, above Standard (100,000 credits a month for $99) the only option was a contract. Several organizations already use more than that every month, and between a $99 plan and a sales conversation there were no steps. From today there are two: Pro and Scale. You subscribe from the console, by card, the same way as Hobby and Standard.
The plans#
| Plan | USD / month | Credits / month | Live lookups | Dataset requests |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 0 | 5,000 | 500 | 5,000 |
| Hobby | 20 | 20,000 | 2,000 | 20,000 |
| Standard | 99 | 100,000 | 10,000 | 100,000 |
| Pro | 299 | 350,000 | 35,000 | 350,000 |
| Scale | 799 | 1,000,000 | 100,000 | 1,000,000 |
The live lookups and dataset requests columns show what the balance covers if you spend it on one kind only; any mix works. On Pro every 1,000 credits cost $0.85 and on Scale $0.80, against $0.99 on Standard. A credit gets cheaper as you move up.
What stays the same#
Free, Hobby and Standard keep their prices and their credits. A live lookup still costs 10 credits and a dataset request 1. Cached answers and failed requests still spend nothing. When the balance runs out, the API answers 402 until the reset or until you upgrade; nothing is ever charged beyond the plan.
How to move to Pro or Scale#
On platform.usecroma.com/billing, as an organization admin. Upgrades apply immediately: the new credits are available right away and Stripe prorates what is left of the period. Downgrades take effect at the end of the period. The X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining and X-RateLimit-Reset headers carry the new balance from the next response on; they are documented in rate limits.
If your volume goes beyond Scale, or you need your own invoicing and terms, talk to us and we put it in a contract. Every plan is on the pricing page.
