# About Croma

Croma is the government data API for Latin America: one integration that connects software and AI agents to the official public records of Colombia, Peru and Mexico.

## What Croma is

Croma turns official public-sector records into structured, typed data that software teams and AI agents can rely on. Judicial cases, company registries, vehicle records, background checks, tax and regulatory information and legislation are returned as clean JSON under one authentication, one client and one contract, instead of one portal per register.

The product has three surfaces. A REST API with 76 endpoints over 42 official sources in 3 countries. An MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other MCP client can query the same sources from a conversation. And Croma Legal, an operations dashboard where legal and credit teams at banks and lenders monitor the judicial activity of their portfolios every day.

## How we treat the data

Every record comes from an official source and is labelled with its provenance, so a user or an agent always knows which register answered. Figures Croma computes itself, such as financial ratios, are marked as Croma's own. We do not build profiles of the people the records refer to: customers query the records they have a lawful basis to consult, and Croma processes them on their behalf.

Croma operates under the laws of the Republic of Colombia and protects personal data under the data-protection law of each country whose records it covers. The details are in the privacy policy and the terms of service.

## Who builds it

Croma is built by Cristian Correa and Tomás Calle, a small team working with legal, credit, compliance and product teams across Latin America. Banks and lenders such as Banco Finandina and Incomercio use Croma in production.
